Great location to practice Scuba skills. If you can get comfortable in the limited visibility here, clear water will be a piece of cake.
It's a fun dive. Thermocline was shape compared to Athens. Finding the shark is very easy!!
Basically, drive out there at your own risk. You may be just wasting your time and gas.
After an hour wait there was no return call, no return email. We still have not received a response 3 days later!
This is a great place for training dives in this area. There are plenty of things to find. Visibility varies from phenomenal to very poor, but generally better than anything else in the area at the same time. Don't expect to get older steel tanks filled or terribly friendly service though.
We were from Virginia trying to get in a couple dives while in Texas.
Website stated their hours of operation. I arrived 30 minutes after they were supposed to be open. The gate was locked. I called the phone number and left a message and then emailed them to find out if they were just running late or if they were going to open at all. There was one guy at the office but he would not come to the gate.
Great place to practice Scuba skills and try new equipment. Not a deep diving lake but it's a really nice area.
