This DPS office was well organized and had a team of great employees focused on getting you what you needed and to get you out of there in a timely manner. We got station 2 with Stephanie and she was awesome!
It's as good as it gets when you have to wait in line to give someone money for the right to drive legally.
We were there for a learners license and a driver's license renewal. While we waited another employee came by and asked each person waiting what they were there to do and briefly reviewed what documents you should have and she asked if u had questions.
On 8/17/17 I arrived at the Terrell DPS to get my license renewed. It was around 10:30 am. I waited for 1 1/2 hours to get renewed. They only had 2 people working the desk. They are greatly under staffed. But the staff was very polite and efficient if you had your paperwork ready!! Be prepared!!!
Got what we needed and we were out at 8:50 AM. So glad we chose this location.
Warning they are NOT veteran friendly. The lady behind the desk told me she would not accept my VA documentation, she told me it doesn't matter what any other business or agency accepts that DPS is different. Even tho I used the exact same forms to get my disabled veteran plates.
Doors opened up at 8 AM and we quickly were greeted by an employee who asked what we were there to do, she gave us a ticket and told us what to fill out.
This place is a joke! I feel like they need to fire everybody at this place!! They are slow and unprofessional! You will walk in and have to stand for hours just to hear that you don’t have all documents, when really you do. I went to garland and had no problem with the documents I had. It just let me know that this place need to be investigated, because the people that work there need to be retrained or fired!!
Got there at 7:50 AM on 8/16/17 there was a line of about 15 people ahead of us.
We were in and out in exactly 1 hour.
