I am a nursing educator, and I bring students here twice a year. Staff and patients are always kind, and willing to share with students. Students LOVE coming here for that very reason. Thank you for helping me help students understand, and rethink mental health nursing!
My aunt was not treated well. Her room was dirty and her bed was broken. Nurses tried hard but you can't do much with broke down equipment. So sad to see people in pain not treated better.
I will say they really helped my mother in law. After her parents died in the same year, she hasn't been the same. But she came to this hospital she was a different after she left. She was smiling and happy. I like this place.
If I had the choice of a slow agonizing death or going back to Terrell State hospital for any amount of time, I would 110% chose death. The quicker this place is destroyed the quicker the state of Texas will actually save lives. That hospital is the closest I ever want to be to hell. They viciously abuse patients by physical abuse, emotional abuse, mental abuse, Overmedicating patients to the point of death and/or permanent insanity.
I was raped here and no one did anything about and now patients from this hospital are following me
